A&R is at the heart of the music industry. The energetic pace of the department means that no two days are the same. The team have the exciting responsibility of finding groups and artists that will take the world by storm.

A&R’s functions are each as important as the next. Scouts and A&R Managers spend office hours listening to demos and meeting with band managers and publishers, and evenings at gigs in pubs and clubs all over the country in search of fresh new talent.

A&R Co-ordinators have the vital role of liaising with studios, booking recording sessions and controlling budgets. They build strong relationships across every facet of the industry to ensure they have the knowledge and the contacts to fully develop our extraordinary artists - including producers, promoters, lawyers and agents. The hours are long, especially when travelling, but the reward of discovering talent is second-to-none.

The Artist Relations team work across all Warner labels and look after artist promotional trips, events and ticketing. The team works closely with the marketing, promotions and press departments to accommodate promo requests, and deal directly with the bands and their management. The team is also responsible for organising special events for the labels including after show parties, album and launch events, the Brit Awards party and various conferences. 

What we're looking for...
The nature of the Artist Relations department means the job is very social; we look for enthusiastic, unflappable people who thrive in sociable situations. It is important to have an efficient and friendly personality as the team deals with people on all levels of the business - from chairman to bar man but most importantly strong attention to detail is key.

The Artist Partnerships team are involved in brands, merchandising, artist management and ticketing, amongst many other areas, driving new relationships and areas of activity that will ultimately produce new revenue streams.

When new acts are signed, the artist partnerships team alongside brands, D2C, etc., come together as a unified and focussed unit to outline the best approach to developing acts in the artist partnerships remit.

Every aspect of the production chain is integrated, and there is no area of the business that Artist Partnerships don’t get involved with.

The close relationships built between the team and artists / management, paired with the ability to create and drive exciting new opportunities and models ensure the artist partnerships team are exposed to exciting and thought-provoking projects.

The types of opportunities created include the use of an artist’s image and likeness, event/tour sponsorship, performances, content creation and endorsements.
The team develop strategic partnerships that mutually benefit both brands and our artists; they are involved in the creative process and ultimately enable brands and agencies to work with Warner’s extraordinary music talent.
